Fiat 1100 BOAT-CAR CARROZZERIA CORIASCO | 1953

This 'boat on wheels' is definitely not seaworthy. The Turin bodywork manufacturer Coriasco built this striking Fiat 1100-based vehicle in the 1950s to make publicity for a sailing school in Bologna, the Scuola Nautica Scarani. Coriasco applied all sorts of nautical details to the car, such as portholes, lifebuoys and a varnished wooden deck; the mudguards represent the water and waves.

It wasn't meant to float. Tha car (a Fiat 1100) has been given a boat body by Coriasco as an advertisement for a sailing school in Bologna.
